A new line produced by Dixon Miniatures is their Texas War of Independence 25mm figures. Bearingall of the detail and action that has become a trademark of this company, the figures comprising the Texas War of Independence range will not disappoint anyone. The Texas troops may be used not only for this specific period, but may easily be used for American frontier periods, militia units and Western gunfights. The Mexican figures of the range are exceptionally nice and are crisply detailed right down to the individual shako cords, and plates. These figure are quite suitable also forthe later Mexican-American War period due to the erratic supply situation in the Mexican Army of the mid 1800s. There are not many lines that would seriously make me think about beginning afresh with different figures for something that I have already painted, but this range has caused me to do some serious soul searching. Beautiful figures which are highly recommended. Dixon Miniatures are available from Wargames, Box 278, Route 40 East, Triadelphia, WV 26059. The Reviewing Stand
