Sharpe Competition

by David Watkins

The answer to the question "In the episode Sharpe's Regiment, in which town in England is the Barracks of the South Essex?" - the answer is of course Chelmsford. I must say that I was amazed at the number of entries to this competition over 200 and all correct. I was particularly impressed by the number of entrants who answered correctly before the episode was even shown! Oh how I prayed that Carlton TV would change the location from that in Cornwell's book. But maybe that is my twisted sense of humour!

And so the winner of the book "Sharpe's Story" (See FE28) is ... Mrs. B. Andrews, of Blackfield, Southampton.
