Fans of the Sharpe's TV series may have noticed a small announcement in a recent issue of Radio Times. The filmmakers are considering a series of two-hour films based on the Hornblower stories by C.S. Forester. The film will follow the fortunes of Horatio Hornblower as a young midshipman. Casting has not been finalised, but two actors will play the title role, portraying the naval officer through a fictional career that sees him rise to the rank of Admiral.
