Arcola Trip Special Offer

by Mike Freeman

Finally news of a special offer trip designed for the benefit of Researchers and Enthusiasts rather than Reenactors.

1996 sees the Bi-Centennial of Napoleon's First Italian Campaign - 1796. Battles were fought at Lodi, Castiglione, and Arcola, which Napoleon came near to losing as he fought to prevent the Austrian General Alvinci from relieving Mantua. As NA members will be aware, the 15th/16th September sees a reenactment of the Battle of Arcola. I am pleased to announce that the Napoleonic Association, in conjunction with First Empire will be staging a trip to this event for NA members and First Empire readers at the special discount price of £199. This includes Coach (executive with full facilities), Ferry, and 3 nights B&B Hotel Accomodation.

The trip will include a full battlefield tour, the chance to watch the re-enactment, and visits to as many Napoleonic sites as we can cram in.

We will depart on Thursday 12th September, and return Tuesday 17th September.

If you want to reserve a place on this trip please send a deposit of £50, payable to the Napoleonic Association, to Mike Freeman at the address below. Don't delay - first come, first served !!

Reenactors wishing to use the coach for transport to the event and not requiring B&B - total cost £125, same deposit. Note however that this is a reenactment of a revolutionary period bicentennial, and your kit should be appropriate to the event.
