US forces = 180 men in 6 companies/ Dale, Heard, Smoot, Col Caller, Washington Cty, Cartwright. Force divided into 3 equal commands under Smoot on right flank, Bailey in the center and Dale on the left flank. Red Stick Creek forces = 60-100 men all located at their camp site. Board Description. A road-trail runs from off board in 8, up 200 yards into 9, then across into 0 for about 1/2 mile, then up and off the board in 1. A deep creek runs off board in 11 down through 9 and into 8, then turns and enters 6 before going off board. The area in 6 and 8 between the creek and the boardedge is swamp. There is a ford where the road and creek cross. A small shallow spring leaves the creek 200 yards below the ford in 8, it moves through 0 before forming a small pond in 3 about 150 yards below the road's bend. A ridge runs along the upper border from 1s border through 12 and into 11. A second ridge runs from 1 through 3 and into 4. The road passes through the valley in 1 between these ridges Deployment: The Red Sticks are all located with the pack mules between the pond and the road. Smoot is deployed across the road and onto the upper ridge in 1. Bailey is on or slightly behind the side ridge in sector 1 and 3. Dale is deployed on the side ridge in sector 3 and 4.
