Apr : Ft Charles III, Arkansas. Colberts Loyalist force including Chickasaw attack a Spanish outpost.

Estimated warrior strengths of the eastern tribes. The numbers are based mainly on the census conducted by British Indian agents in 1775. Some census counted only warriors while others counted everybody. When doing your own research, a good ratio is to count about 25% of a total population as warriors.

SENECAS = 1500-1900. Had as many warriors as the other four Iroquois tribes combined.
CAYUGAS = 300-400
MOHAWKS = 600-700
ONONDAGAS = 300-400
ONEIDAS = 300-400
TUSCARORAS = 300
DELAWARE = 1000-1200. By the end of the war only about 100 warriors remained.
SHAWNEE = 1300-1500
MINGOS = 100-300
WYANDOTS = 300-900
CHEROKEE = 3000
CHICKAMAUGA = 150
CREEKS = 3500
CHICKASAW = 475
CHOCTAW = 1900
CATAWBAS = 100
SEMINOLES = 1000

Numbers for several tribes have not been listed including, the Chippewa, Santee Sioux, Miami, and Abenaki.
