Jan : Mobile, AL. A determined effort by the British to recapture Mobile. The attempt failed when all of the regular officers were killed and command fell to a timid Tory officer who elected to withdraw. Chickasaw, Choctaws and Creeks were part of the assault force.

Feb : Ft Joseph. Upper Mississippi Valley. Spanish force with Indian allies capture the British fort. The action causes many tribes of the region to change to the Spanish side.

Apr 16- Jun 5 : Siege of Augusta, GA. Loyalist Col T Brown's garrison including 50 Cherokee held out against overwelming odds until the Patriots were reinforced by Marion and Lee's Legion. On June 5 the Patriots assaulted and captured the outer fortifications..

May 9 : Pensacola, West FL. Spanish troops assault and capture the port after a siege. Its British/Loyalist garrison included several Indians

May 14 : Nelson's Ferry, SC. Skirmishes as part of the siege of Augusta

May 21 : Silver Bluff, SC. Skirmishes as part of the siege of Augusta.

May 23-24 : Ft Grierson, GA. A successful Patriot assault as part of the siege of Augusta.

Jun : Ft Jefferson, KY. The Chickasaw harassed the garrison until it ws abandoned.

Jun 30 ; Currytown, NY. Loyalist and Iroquois under Doxtader burn the settlement.

Jul 10 : Sharon Springs Swamp, NY. Loyalist and Iroquois under Doxtader are routed.

Aug 25 : Big Miami River, Indiana. A Loyalist/Iroquois force (100) under Brant rout a Patriot force of Pennsylvanian militia (100) under Lochry. Sept 7 : Fort Plain, NY. A Patriot force is ambushed by a Loyalist/Iroquois force.

Oct 25 : Johnstown, NY. Ross's Loyalist and Indians skirmish local militia.

Oct 30 : Jerseyfield, NY. Ross's force is defeated by a patriot force under Col Willett.
