British and Canadian Loyalists/Iroquois (900) rout the Patriots (250) Jun 8 : Trois Rivers, Canada. A British force (6000) including some Canadian Iroquois defeat a Patriot force(2000) Jun 16 : Chambly Canada. British vanguard including Iroquois and Loyalist contact the Patriot rearguard under Arnold. Jun 24 : Isle aux Noix, Canada. British vanguard probes and almost overruns the Patriot position. Jun 26 : Cherokee War Actions. Patriot forces (SC Rangers) under Cpt J. McCall skirmished with Cherokee warriors who captured McCall. Jul 15 : Rayborn Creek SC. Cherokee or Creek? skirmish with South Carolina militia. Jul 29 : Patriot Expedition against Cherokee Towns. It consisted of two groups. The Va force under Col W. Christian consisted of 300 NC militia + 500 Va militia + 300 Russell Rangers + 200? Continental Regulars under Lewis. The NC force under Gen Rutherford consisted of 2000 to 2500 militia and state troops. The objective of the Va force were the Over-hill towns. The objective of the NC force was the Middle and Valley towns. Several towns are burned as the Cherokee withdraw and use ambush tactics rather than trying to defend each town. Jul 29-Aug 2 : Lower Town Burnings.. SC troops (600-militia+ 500- regulars+ 20 Catawba scouts) under Col A. Williamson attack several Cherokee towns of the Lower Town group. Aug 1 : Essenecca Town, SC. Cherokee rearguard attacked a SC force. Aug 8 : Oconore, South Carolina. Cherokee skirmish Patriot forces. Aug 11 : Tomassy, South Carolina. Cherokee skirmish Patriot forces. Sep 20: Black Hole SC. Cherokee warparty versus Col Williamson's SC militia. ?? : Eaton Station (KY). Warparty under Dragging Canoe versus local militia. ?? : Fort Caswell (KY?). Warparty under Great Warrior versus local militia Oct 14 : Crown Point, NY.
