Originally published by Jack Scruby. Years ago, Jack Scruby produced three maps intended for use in wargame campaigns. One was historical (Napoleonic Europe) while the other two (The Ancient World and Mafrica) were mythical. Mafrica was specifically designed for use in staging Victorian Era Colonial wargames. Bill Protz found an old copy and got permission from Jack to reprint it. On one continent, there is room for all types of natives -- Zulus, Arabs, Mahdists, Pathans, even Pygmies' Along the coasts there are plenty of towns from which the Imperial powers can launch campaigns and punitive expeditions against the natives and/or other Imperial powers. Who wouldn't want to fight campaigns and battles in places such as "The Great Stone Desert", "The jungle of Zamoria", the "Zouave Plateau", "The Black Cliffs", or "The Desert of Death"? What about towns such as "El Shah", "Zinder", "Gomba", "Kaffia" or "Mawanza"? Well, they're all here in "Mafrica", and many more, in three colors. An absolute must for anyone wishing to set up a "balanced" Colonial campaign. Supplies are limited, so if you're interested, drop a line with $6.50 and 50c p&h to Bill Protz, 5690 West Glen brook Road, Brown Deer, WI 53223. More Reviews
