Randy Moorehead and Mike Collier have opened a new wargaming company called Simulations Workshop Inc. (SWI). Randy is a historian, and Mike is a computer programmer; and both decided that they could produce better games than those currently available on the market. [Where have I heard that before. Ed.] SWI's first four releases are Ironman Football (two- to eight-player card game of football in the 1920s: $ 12), Legend of the Lost Dutchman (two- to five-player 1890s search for the famous mine using counters and cards: $12), Operation Dragon Rouge (1964 hostage rescue at Stanleyville in the Congo: $10), and Rommel at the Meuse (pits Rommel and the 7th Panzer Division against the French at the Meuse in 1940: $10). The games are of desktop publishing quality, and they include an 11 x 17 map that is mostly black and white. Counters and cards are laser printed onto colored cardstock; and, although they are mounted, they must be cut out. Ironman has 250 cards, Dutchman has 108 cards and 180 counters, Dragon has 120 counters, and Rommel has 167 counters. The Ziplock packaged games can be ordered from Randy Moorhead, 2708 Gen. Chennalut NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112. Add $3 for postage and shipping. Randy and Mike state that they will mail your order within 48 hours of the receipt. More Industry News
