This is the first in a series of articles that will deal with all the important powers in the period 1792 to 1815. These articles will cover the organization, training, uniforms, and numbers with maps of each nation covered. The maps will show the major fortresses, roads, cities and terrain of each country and when possible will be taken from contemporary sources. This same procedure will apply to each of the other areas to be discussed. Whenever possible there will be included in each article comments on the units employment during the wars such as with the Austrian Navy which I am sure few of you have heard about. In some cases complete data is unavailable to the author in which case I will pass on my own opinion on the subject with the promise that should any additional data come to light at a later date I will pass it on to you. Any comments or contributions may be directed to me through this magazine. Uniforms of the Imperial Austrian Army and the Kingdom of Hungary It should be made clear from the start that although both these forces operated together with little trouble on the tactical level, they were also very seperate entities with their own organizations and uniforms.
