Armament: 150mm howitzer and a hull-mounted machine gun on late production models Speed: 25 mph This vehicle was produced in response to demands for heavier fire support in urban combat. Unfortunately for the Germans, they were already in retreat by the time these weapons became available and they were not very useful as defensive weapons. The 150mm howitzer would have been an ideal fire-support weapon in the urban environment though and the thick an-nor would have been a significant improvement over earlier German infantry support guns that were mounted in open-topped vehicles.
