Wargamers Newsletter Rules

Booklet

reviewed by Dick Bryant

By Don Featherstone

Athena Books, 20 St. Mary's Road, Doncaster, DN1 2NF, England, has recently published a reprise of all of Don's famous Wargames rules. The 122 page booklet covers Ancients, Medieval, ECW, 1750 period, Napoleonic, ACW, Late 19th Century, 1917, and 1944 period rulesets.

The Ancient rules were by Tony Bath and the 1944 period rules were by Phil Barker! (No Kidding! - ED.)

There is no introduction to the reprint so I cannot report on what years these rules were originally written. They certainlygo back to the GOLDEN AGE of Wargaming (the 60's) and will be of great interest to those who like FUN rules and to those whose original copy has been lost, destroyed, mutilated, or simply faded. There is no price given but write to the publisher for a quick reply.
