Although not specifically related to Miniature Wargaming, The Plastic Modeller's Handbook, edited by Kelvin Barber and published by Argus Books, contains many useful suggestions and techniques, for wargame modelling. Listing manufacturers of models and accessories, the handbook will give the wargamer a strong foothold into product availability, and aid enhancement of the artistry of Miniature Wargaming. The different sections in the book offer the modeller insights on the different media available, from injection molding to vacuum form kits. Aircraft, Car and Ship modelling have been individually treated by a variety of authors. Other sections are highly informative essays on painting and weathering techniques. One section exclusively deals with multiple conversions of the same base model in order to present all of the historical versions of the same aircraft. There are many well known modellers/writers that have contributed sections to The Plastic Modeller's Handbook. Among these are Ken Jones and Graham Dixey, both of whom have books published by Argus. This handbook is another quality reference book, and is so because of the quality of its contributors. Available at £ 8.95 from Argus Books, Wolsey House, Wolsey Rd., Hemel Hempstead, Herts HP2 4SS.
