A set of rare books was given to Tony Adams. Joe Cepfert had solicited funds for this gift in recognition of Tony's retiring as editor of The Heliograph, a colonial newsletter which Tony founded and edited for a number of years. The gift had originally been planned to be given to Tony at the Seven Years War Association Meeting some weeks earlier, but Tony was unable to show up at the last minute, and most amazingly the secret was kept for three weeks with no word getting to Tony. The last thing discussed was an update on Origins/Gen-Con 88. (ED NOTE: HMGSMidwest will be running the Historical Miniature events.) Things are proceeding well. HMGS and Gamemasters Guild are also running an expanded miniatures program at Gen-Con this year. Both conventions are to be held at Mecca Convention Center in Milwaukee. This is Milwaukee's main convention facility, and we anticipate having the entire thing in 88, giving us considerably more space than ever before! More Courier Dispatch: News
