Litko is a new manufacturer (at least to me), making a line of very detailed laser-cut buildings in 25-28mm and magnetic & wooden bases to mount figures. The buildings are exquisite in detail, but do take some care in construction – a slow-setting epoxy is recommended. At the moment there are only 3 buildings in the line of which 2 are of interest to the wargamer. One is the two story building pictured above, and a stone bridge. The building, which measures 5 ½ “ per side, is flexible enough so that various configurations can be made and it can climb to as many stories as you may want. Note that the photo shows the building unpainted, which is, frankly good enough – but you can paint it if you want. The basic 2-story kit goes for $17.95. The bridge kit has 191 parts, sells for $39.95 and results in a beautifully detailed bridge. Both kits are suitable for Model Railroading as well. There are two types of bases, magnetic and wooden. The magnetic bases are intended to mount to the bottom of your present wooden and metal bases or to Litko’s wooden bases to make them magnetic for storage. Litko has just about any size you can imagine and if the 40 sizes they have available don’t work for you , you can order from their custom shop. An innovation is round wooden bases for skirmish figures, etc. Litko Aerosystems, 1453 Brandywine Rd., Crown Point, IN 46307. 219-575-5708 www.litkoaero.com More Reviews
