I picked up nine different Soviet sailors (miniatures!) at Cold Wars'92. They include several riflemen, a walking light machine gunner, a pair of PPSH gunners, and an officer with pistol. They MEASURE 18m (Barret Measurement). Uniforms and equipment are reasonably detailed - I had no problem identifying the weapon types and web gear. The troops all wear Soviet naval pullover tunics and hats with tassles. Poses are natural - the officer looks as if he wishes he could present a smaller target. The only problem I faced was a matter of quality control. All of the figures had pronounced mold seam lines, typically running across ammo belts, down the centers of their faces, etc. They're cast in reasonably soft metal, so I was able to clean off most of the seams and flash, but it took more effort than I usually spend on a gaming figure. They're not bad figures if you don't mind putting some extra time into cleanup. Platoon 20 figures are available from RAFM 20 Parkhill Road E, Cambridge, Ontario, N1R 1P2 CANADA More Reviews
