Combat Miniatures

20mm WWII

by Bill Rutherford

This line of figures is the MLR Figures range (They all have the MLR logo on the undersides of their bases), apparently marketed under the Combat Miniatures label by The Emporer's Headquarters. My samples include firing Germans and advancing Soviets and retain all of the quality we've come to expect from MLR. These figures average 20 H (Barret Measure). Their heft isn't due to heavy proportions, but is because the figures' uniforms tend towards the baggy and they're all heavily encumbered with bedrolls, bags, etc. They are reasonably clean - a bit of flash, but not much, and they paint up nicely. Combat Miniatures are available in blister packs of six, from The Emporer's Headquarters, 5744 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago, IL 60634.
