The Japanese ships are Fuso, Kongo, and Chiyoda. The Chinese ships are Chen Yuen, Ting Yuen, King Yuen, Nan Thin, Chih Yuan, Ping Yuen, Chao Yung, and Chi Yuan. All eleven of these ships fought at the Battle of the Yalu (9/17/94). This battle was won by the Japanese and signalled their emergence as a power to be reckoned with. Three examples were available for review. L-361 Ting Yuen, is a small Chinese battleship and L-367 Chi Yuen, is a Chinese cruiser. The only Japanese ship received was L-358 Chiyoda. The models are resin cast and only the major details are on the ship. These ships will benefit from a careful paint job that will make them look much more realistic. The ships are 1/2400 scale. Chiyoda is 1.5" by .25", Ting Yuen is 1.63" by .3", and Chi Yuen is 1.25" by .25". These ships are inexpensive, around $1.80, and are great for rounding out a fleet or for trying the period on a budget. A current price list is available from Panzerschiffe, Dept. R, P.O. Box 26074, Akron, OH 44319. More Reviews
