This is one of the "Purnell's History of the World Wars" Special volumns. It is 9" x 11", paperback, with 64 pages, chock full of black and white and color photos, drawings and maps. The text gives brief historical accounts of the campaigns in Poland 1939, France 1940, North Africa 1940-42, and the early Russian Campaign 1941-42. The majority of the text, however, covers The Battle of Kursk (Operation "Citadel") and the following Russian counterattack resulting in the battles of Orel and Kharkov, and covers it pretty well. An odd combination of pretty good material, and well worth the $1.95 price. Book Review
