On 3 April 1813 four regiments of Gardes d'Honneur were raised. Each regiment was to have ten squadrons of two companies. Trooper and Trumpeter 1st Regiment of Garde d'Honneur. The regimental staff numbered sixty-five. Each company comprised, one Capitaine, one Lieutenant en premier, two Lieutenants en second, one Marechal des logis chef, four Marechaux des logis, one Brigadierfourrier, eight Brigadiers, two Marechaux ferrants, 100 Gardes d'Honneur, and two Trompettes.
