Netherlands Artillery
in the Waterloo Campaign

Part III:
Artillery Batteries and Companies

by Geert van Uythoven, The Netherlands

The artillery batteries that were part of the Netherlands field army have already been listed in part 1 of this series. However, losses in battle, the lack and breakdown of equipment, and organisational problems were the cause that various batteries and commanders appear in the accounts about this campaign, making it a complex task to keep track of the whereabouts and exploits of specific batteries. To clarify this, beneath I have listed all batteries and companies that took part in the Waterloo campaign one way or another, describing their participation in that campaign.
