This is the title of a presentation by Julia Page, to be given at the AGM of The Association of Friends of The Waterloo Committee at the National Army Museum on Wednesday 17th April. Julia Page is author of Intelligence Officer in the Peninsula: Letters and Diaries of Major The Hon. Edward Charles Cocks and is a regular guide for Holts' Battlefield Tours. While this talk is part of a meeting for members of the Association, new members are always very welcome. The membership fee is £12 for individuals, and for this you will receive a very informative and interesting journal three times a year, plus the opportunity to attend meetings and trips organised by the Association, as well as being part of an organisation that is very much involved in the preservation and interpretation of the battlefield of Waterloo. If you have an interest in Waterloo and the Napoleonic Wars in general then I would recommend joining this society.
