The Royal Dockyards:
Support for the Sailing Navy, 1688-1815

This is the title of an eight-week course at the National Maritime Museum, on Tuesdays from 30th January to 20th March. The course will examine all aspects of the Dockyards; shipbuilding output, speed of mobilisation, labour relations, and the social impact of their growth and industrial archaeology. Speakers will be drawn from the Museum, Chatham Historic Dockyard and the Naval Dockyards Society.
