The Napoleonic Society
of America

Napoleonic Newsdesk

This organisation was founded in 1983 to provide the Napoleonic enthusiast with a means of communicating with and sharing views with thousands of others interested in and fascinated by Napoleon as a man, as a military genius, as an extraordinary administrator, and as a legend. The purpose of the Society, as stated in its Constitution, is to 'act as a centre of communications, publish periodic bulletins, conferences, organise Napoleonic tours, act as a clearing house for the sale and purchase of memorabilia and to generally promote a better understanding of the many accomplishments of Napoleon'.

The Member's Bulletin is published four times a year and contains articles on a broad variety of Napoleonic topics. Recent articles have included The French Army of Napoleon; Did Napoleon Die at the Hands of a Secret Assassin?; and Eagle Triumphant: The Battle of Friedland 1807.

The Society organises Napoleonic tours to sites around Europe, which are open to all members, be they from the USA or the rest of the world. While the bulk of the membership is in the USA and Canada, there are many members in the UK and other European countries.

For further details contact The Napoleonic Society of America, 1115 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Clearwater, Florida 34616, USA.

Note!! These organisations are not re-enactment societies. Their interests are in the research of the Napoleonic period. The Napoleonic Association has close links with all these societies, and welcomes their members to our own events. Indeed, you will find that many Napoleonic enthusiasts in the UK are members of many, if not all, of these groups.

Also, when writing to their secretaries for more information, please include return postage with your letter.
