If the French Hussar, Mark Schneider, didn't look like a young Napoleon, I don't know who would. I thought I was crazy and kept it to myself, but when someone else voiced the same opinion, a chorus of others chimed in with agreement.
The Russian re-enactor, Richard Wright didn't look like Kutusov, at least as far as I know comparing photo with painting!
What everyone knew was that this pair was absolutely wonderful at explaining equipment and such during the dinner presentations on the steps of the hotel. In the photo at left, you can see Mark preparing while the rest of us wolf down pizza.
They did two full presentations, one on Friday evening and one on Saturday evening, on the steps of the Hotel.
How Schneider managed not to turn an ankle while wearing the cavalry boots in the halls of the hotel, I don't know. When you consider some cavalrymen walked through Russia in those type boots...
