He could only stay a half an hour, and considering it took him two and a half hours to drive down from Washington DC, an appreciation of his dedication to follow through is due.
Lt. Col. Pavlov with Borodino playing out in the background.
We took him around the main tables holding the simulation, and took a few snapshots of him with the re-enactors, interestingly enough the 1812 Russian re-enactor was from the Pavlov Grenadiers.
We loaded him down with some goodies: a commemorative Borodino 2002 coin, a polo shirt, and so on. Mageb.com presented him with a copy of our audio CD, Emperor Triumphant.
I couldn't help having my photo taken with a number of special guests. From left to right:
Fred Hubig, convention director; Pavlov; Richard Wright, re-enactor of Russian Pavlov Guards; Russ Lockwood, CEO of MagWeb.com; and Mark Schneider, re-enactor of French 7th Hussars.
