BAVARIA Headgear. The Bavarian helmet was not as tall as the Prussian version. It was black leather with brass plate and chain. The comb was black fur. There was a sky-blue on white cockade centered on the left side. COLBURG-GOTHA Headgear. A Bavarian style helmet of black leather with brass plate and chain. The comb was black fur. There was a white plume on the left side. Tunic was Dark Blue with red Trousers were dark gray. Overcoat was gray with red shoulder straps. Knapsack was Black leather. Crossbelts were White LIPPE This uniform was similar to that worn by the Prussian Chasseurs. Headgear. The Prussian Army style high crowned spiked helmet. It was black leather with brass star plate, spike and chain. Tunic was Dark Green with red collar, cuff and shoulder strap distinctions Trousers were Dark gray with a red side stripe.
