Pg 97. A Marine Buffalo track clearly shows the nickname "Swamp Angel" with a drawing below located on the left side of the upper portion of the front hull.

Pg 105. Great photo of Dogs and their handlers which were used in the Pacific to located snipers and hidden bunkers. Rarely used on the gaming table or a modeler's diorama. The dogs are mainly German Shepherds and Doberman Pinchers.

Pg 131. The Marines on Tarawa had at least three M4 Sherman tanks nicknamed "China Gal", "Colorado" and "Charlie" which was painted on the side hull near the front and close to the track rather than centered under the turret as were many US Army tanks. "Charlie was knocked out during the battle.

Pg 154. Photos of Marines in the Marshalls show an M5? nicknamed "Hothead" printed toward the front on the hull's side. It is painted very dark green with a light colored wavy line painted around the hull.

Pg 201. A US Army Amphibious vehicle is shown on Saipan- It has a hugh white star on the hull's side and the number "3" on the metal guard around the crew compartment
