Pg 11. -Sand Colored Priest in the desert w/ a large Blue Circle with a White star located on the front hull. A second star/circle located on the front portion of the side hull, just below the coupla ring.

Pg 28. A Dark Green Honey/Stuart with a star so large on the front hull that it covers almost the entire area. From the hull top to about a foot above the front tow rings.

Pg 42. Shows a JU87 Stuka in flight. The markings indicate that it was in Italian Service and Captured by the British. The Fusilage shows only a white stripe near the tail and the Italian flag markings on the tail have been painted over or scraped off On the wings in the -normal location is an Italian Fascist symbol AND next to it by the wing tip is a British emblem.

Pg 56. A recaptured US Honey. It had been given a desert camoflauge color with a German cross painted on the Hull below the turret.

Pg 57. An early tank destroyer is shown. It consists of a 37mm anti-tank gun mounted on the back (pointed to the rear) of a 3/4 ton truck.

Pg 125, 128-9. Three pictures of US Halftracks and trucks with good detail of the white circle around a white star US marking. The rear star is small and centered. The Hood star is centered and very large. A large star on the side is located near the rear of the troop compartment.

Pg 151-52. Two pictures of French Moroccan Gournier troops in Sicily. A great close up of a Gournier in a traditional Blue-red-white striped tunic with a French Adrian helmet. They are part of a mountain unit with pack mules as shown in the next photo.

Pg 165. Shows an Italian Cant and a Z506B Airone with British markings. Captured at Sardinia.

Pg 182. Shows a crashed (shot down by friendly fire) SPITFIRE with US markings. They are MX blue circle with white starP on the fasilage (MXOP)

Pg 222, 376. Americans firing a captured German artillery.

Pg 231. Italian troops fighting for the Allies on the Mignano Gap. Uniform is still in the Italian style.

Pg 259-60-61. These photos show Hospitals and medical personnel including nurses located within range of German artillery at the Anzio Beachhead.

Pg 268. A Grant Chassis is being used an an Artillery hauler.

Pg 290. 1. French troops usmg US M4 Shermans and M5 Stuarts. The color of the paint looks lighter than US tank photos.

Pg 293. Photos of German portable pillboxes. They were steel and resembled a Panther turret. They were considered impregnable except to a direct hit by a large cannon.

Pg 309. Waterproofed Priest with an high engine exhaust vent on the back. In 1944, it still has the white circle around a white star markings.

Pg 337. In Southern France, German tank Turrets are used as pillboxes. This shows an Pzr h turret with a HMG and a 20mm gun. The height is very low with it being only the height between a man's knee and waist. A very hard target to hit.

Pg 339. French troops using a German PAK 40 in street fighting.

Pg 352. A ship transport containing French Commandos and Sengalese troops. They are wearing US style helmets. This force invaded Elba.

Pg 353. More Groumiers wearing a dark turban, light colored pants and knee high leggings.

Pg 358. Japanese-American troops are riding in a captured Schwimmwagen. It has the US circle star marking on the front and side.

Pg 364. US M4A1 crossing the Amo with spare track on the front hull for additional protection.

Pg 371. A Panther turret pillbox considered vulnerable to artillery fire but not tank fire.

Pg 380. A US tank battalion all with circle star markings (Octt 1944) and tree branch camo.

Pg 397. South African Armored unit firing as artillery. They are on a British Tank,

Pg 406. South African troops firi-ng an US Long Tom artillery gun. They wear the British helmet

Pg 434. Black-American troops firing Stuart M8 (75mm guns) in support of a Nisei unit during an April 1945 attack near Massa, Italy. The M8s have the circle star markings on the side of the turret and hull.

Pg 439-440. South African Armor with Shermans and maybe a few Fireflys. The only visible marking is number five circled on the back of the turret. British style helmets are visible among the gear and on a rider.

Pg 447. Alligators (LVT 4) are used to cross the Po river. The US white star only is on the top of the hull with the point facing the front of the vehicle rather than toward to crew compartment.

Pg 453. An American soldier is riding a horse while guarding German prisoners in 1945.
