"Sword of the Emperors"
Acquired by Fontainebleau


The newsletter of the Society for Court Studies reported that the Musee National du Chateau de Fontainebleau acquired the "Sabre des Empereurs" of Napoleon I, engraved with the names of Emperors from (anachronistically) Julius Caesar to the Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I, and associated with Napoleon's last visit to Fontainebleau.
