Armament: 115mm smoothbore main gun, coaxial and antiaircraft machine guns Speed: 31 mph The replacement for the T-54/55 series of tanks, the T-62 incorporated several improvements. The 115mm main gun was considerably more destructive. Inclusion of a laser rangefinder significantly improved the accuracy of the main armament as well. Infrared equipment gave the T-62 limited night fighting capabilities. The T-62 was used by Arab forces in the 1973 Arab-Israeli conflict.
