An anxious Arab thief doesn't wait to see the whites of the British Cavalry troopers eyes before opening fire. The British take minor casualties and Ali Baba gets away!

After the skirmish Ali Baba and his men go off to Dorah to raise the tribes in a Jihad. They instruct them to take up a position north of Dorah to lure the British inland.

Captain Turrene arrives in Omra with his mistress Kiswar. Sheik Husein warmly greets them. His vaunted military force is less real than reported but Turrene still signs on to help him. To Turrene's surprise there are three Belgian Military liasons at Husein's court.

Absullah ibn Almani orders the following dispositions for the troops in Dar as Salaam city. The Young Salaamite forces are give the tasks of patrolling the streets. Meanwhile the regular troops garrison key positions and begin improving the defenses.

Colonel Ahmed Al-Najir, commander of the Young Salaamite force visits the French Residency. When he returns his officers meet and suddenly purge all the soldiers suspected of being more loyal to the Mullah's than to the secular cause. They end up with one very well armed battalion with lots of officers. The remaining Salaamite soldiers are joined by what appear to be Algerian volunteers!
