The Middle Tennessee Historical Gamers Society, created in June, 1988, is an organization of persons devoted to the promotion of the hobby of Military History and Wargaming and serving the hobby in Middle Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, and North Alabama. The club functions as a contact point for local wargamers by way of a free directory of its members, listing everything that anyone would need to meet a group of people interested in the hobby. The club is working toward becomingan active region of HMGS (Historical Miniatures Gaming Society). The membership is very diverse in its interests. Among the periods gamed are Ancients, Medievals, Renaissance, English Civil War, Seven Years War, American Revolutionary War, the Napoleonic Wars, American Civil War, British Colonial, World Wars I and II and Moderns, and that is just the land wars! Naval activity runs the gamut from ancient biremes, Elizabethan (Spanish Armada), Napoleonics, Ironclades, the Russo-Japanese War World Wars I & II thru the Modern era. Aerial combat covers both world wars and present day actions. Club meetings are held every third Saturday of the month at Games Extraordinaire Hobby Shop, located at:109 Donelson Pike in Nashville,TN. Membership dues are $6.00 annually and for this fee each member receives a membership card and member catalog, along with all of the privileges due a club member.
