Wargame Convention in France

I send you some information about the "Coupe de France cle Jue d'Histoire" that is the biggest French Wargames show. This event has been largely publicized on radio and television.

THE COUPE DE FRANCE DE JEUX D'HISTOIRE was held in the "sale des fetes cle la Maide du XVIeme arrdt cle Pads", sponsored by the district administration. In this prestigious place, the tables prsented nice displays for competitions and demonstrations alike. Thousands of 25mm figures, shown for the first time on French T.V. during the news attracted great crowds.

The 4th French Cup as played with "Charges", a set of French ancient rules. M. Dominique legendre son with his TANG Chinese. The tournament was organized with the same system as a Tennis Open and gave a colorful final at the end of 2 days of elimination battles.

Beside this main competition, a SUN-TZU Tournament was organized. The players were invited to run a different army each round of a "Swiss Tournament"; armies and historical scenarios were provided by the organizers. M. Jean-MarcZaninetti managed to maneuver all these situations the best and received the cup sponsored by the well-known writer Jean Raspail.

Many demonstration and participation games were also organized in ancient as well as other periods. These were met with enthusiasm by the public.
