As promised in a past review I have gone to my local hobby dealer and purchased a number of blister packs of a popular manufacturer. This review will look at Miniature Figurines Napoleonics and Ancients. The Napoleonics I selected were Bavarians and Spanish infantry. Both tested out well with 100% acceptable figures in each pack making them a good value. There was very little flash and the bayonets attached to the muskets were both sturdy and very clean. These figures are some of the best I have seen in the super detailed 15mm line. The animation is perfect for gaming and the anatomy superb. Highly recommended. Rating: Anatomy: 1.0, Animation: 1.0, Detail: .7, Paintability: .9, Casting: .9, Total: 4.5 The Minifig ancients that I purchased were a mixed bag, however. Some like the war elephant and camel riders were good. Others, including the Greeks and Gauls were disappointing. Many of the ancients appeared to be very stiff and uninspired. Some are also very bulky. There was also a high amount of flash behind the shield arms of a number of the Gaulish infantry. Rating: Anatomy: .6, Animation: .4, Detail: .5, Paintability: .6, Casting: .3, Total: 2.4 More Reviews
