1. The board is not very large, as an area 3’ by 4’ will do nicely. The woods are cottonwood groves and should be treated as broken terrain. Units may only cross the Rio Grande at the marked fords, and should treat the river as rough terrain. Units in the water may not fire regardless of the weapon that they are equipped. 2. The game ends when either army is forced from the field, or failing that, at the end of the 1645. If at that time the Confederates have driven the Union forces across the Rio Grande, it is a tactical Confederate victory. If the Union forces still have units on the east side of the river in good morale, it is a Union victory. If both sides have units on the enemy side of the river, then the game is a draw.
