Redcoats for the Raj

By Don Featherstone

Don's latest book is a novel! Don tells the story of a group of British redcoats stationed in India in the late 1860s. Each character, one of whom is a former Confederate, tells his story as means to escape the boredom of the long hours spent in barracks to escape the daytime heat of the hot season in India. It provides a wonderful insight into the character of the Victorian soldier and the life he led. Don even manages to introduce the characters to miniature wargaming! I found this book to be thoroughly interesting and I hardly could put it down, reading it in 2 sessions!
