Just received are five Baffle of Britain types: the Bfl09E; Bf1l0C; Ju87B; Spitfire I; and Hurricane I. These cleanly cast, unpretentious miniatures were designed for gaming from the start as Pharaoh's Arms initially produced them for the Mid Eastern Ontario Wargamers. Basic details are present - ailerons, rudders, cockpit frames, etc. are engraved, but most part lines are not. Underside details are very simple (and, on the Stuka, are almost absent). Production qualities are quite high. My samples had almost no flash and the few seam lines were easy to clean up, other than one killer seam on the underside of the Hurricane's wing. The minis are all very close to the stated 1/144 scale, though the Bf110 is several percent underscale. At $10 per pack for the fighters are pair of Ju87s or Bf110s, these are price- competitive compared with the various l/144th scale plastic kits out there. If you need to support your 15mm ground toops and stage dogfights, these will do nicely. Available from the Mid Eastern Ontario Wargames, PO Box 579, Marion Ontario, Canada, COG 1N0. More Reviews
