Modern War, a television program of reviews (books, videos, and wargames), discussions, and tactical decision games should have begun broadcasting by the time you read this. A production of Nation Empowerment Television, the program is done by the same people who publish Tactical Notebook, and is planned to be linked to articles therein. NET is primarily a satellite network, but is also carried on some local cable channels and low power TV stations. Redoubt has a batch of new Scots figures out in 25 mm. There are ten Lowland Scottish musketeers, eight pikemen, an officer, ensign, drummer, and piper for the ECW range, as well as four new English pikemen. All come with separate heads, either with soft hats or bonnets, or with steel helmets. The English also get new cuirassiers: three troopers, an officer, comet, and trumpeter with horses standing, walking or trotting. There is a standing dragoon holding horses, and a standing horse for him to hold, as well as a dragoon stemming party of three figures, a dragoon working party of four figures plus tools, and a pack of cavalry casualties.

The new AWI Scots are Highlanders: six line, two light infantry, a Grenadier, drummer and of ricer. Also new for the AWI are British and American light infantry officers and a Rifles officer. These include the Japanese AC Kasuga, AC Nisshin, PC Naniwa, and PC Sai'yen, the Russian B Retvisan, CDB Adm. Quality Castings has finally provided a source of WWII horse-drawn vehicles in 15 mm. There are two-horse wagons and two- and four-horse limbers with rider and driver figures for the German, Russian, French, Italian, end Japanese armies, plus a civilian wagon. There are five new sets of US paratroopers: advancing, defending, weapons, command, and gun crews. The German Opel Blitz truck has been redone and now comes with a canvas top as well as in an office van body variant. There is also a Bison 15 cm SP gun on the 38t chassis and Russian M1910 Maxim MGs on wheeled carriages. They have also introduced a British Daimler "Dingo" Scout car, a Brit "Quad" gun tractor prime mover, Dragon's teeth and road obstacles, and German, Russian, British, Italian, and Japanese Anti-Tank Rifle teams. Tactical Realities Inc is a new company producing buildings and scenic items. In addition to their Fantasy and SF products they have items for 25 mm Old West, 6 mm Europe and ACW 15 mm Northern Europe and Peninsula. Scotia Micro Models has more than a full page list of new micro scale vehicles, including resin LCI, LCAC, LCM and Russian Labed ACV models for amphibious operators. There are modern German (19), British (20), US (12), South African (5), Chinese (8), French (3), Yugoslavian (4), Warsaw Pact (2), and Soviet/CIS (17) vehicles ranging from ambulances through radars, mine clearance vehicles, and cargo carriers to AFVs. There is similar variety in the WWII releases, although the new material tends to be heavier on the support vehicles in this period.
