It has been reported that Dr. David Chandler, author of Campaigns of Napoleon and many other books near and dear to the heart of the Historical Wargamer has suffered a serious stroke and heart attack, he is 60 years old. Dave will be remembered as the technical advisor on Waterloo and many other historical military movie dramas - the main reason for their historical accuracy. Dave had recently retired from his position as head of the Military History Dept of the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst. His condition, I fear is grave as he has lost the ability to read and write. I know you will all join with me in wishing Dave an early recovery.
