Decision Games Revives Moves

Industy News

by Tim Kutta

Beginning with issue #82, a "new and improved" Moves magazine will start making its way onto the street. The magazine, which has seemed to languish due to an identity crisis, never really sorting out its niche in the industry, has been given new direction by owner Chris Cummins. The magazine will now become the house organ for DG, and the majority of its pages will be dedicated to reviews, replays, and variants for DG products. The magazine will have fewer pages and a lower cover price, although neither length nor price has been settled.

Issue #82 will be dedicated to the reissue of some classic SPI games, with other issues concentrating on Rebels and Redcoats, 20thcentury games, and other DG product topics. The staff at Decision Games seems to be truly excited about the future of the magazine-, and, with that kind of drive, one of the classic magazines ofwargaming may yet again rise to its past level of glory. Issues will come out quarterly during 1995, with release dates scheduled for February, May, August, and November. Current cover price is $5.95. Subcription information is available at 805-723- 2088.
