This is the third Taurus game. It is s a game of tactical combat between subn marine and destroyer. Its physical format is similar to the other two except that it has a different pair of mapsheets - 19"x24", black ink on light blue paper, no terrain, just blue hexes, and only has a few counters, in black on white , light cardboard. The rules book is about the same size as R.O.N.'s (huge) but does seem to get started quicker. Still, I'm not about to wade through all that to find out what it's all about . I will point out the presence of two 4 1/2" x 10 1/2" cards, one having a top view of a sub and the other of a destroyer with all kinds of boxes and circles and things for various weapons and equipment, both cards being covered with clear plastic. A black China Marker is also provided. Again, if you are a fanatic naval wargames buff and are not frightened by the huge rules book you might find it to be worth $10.95. All three Taurus Games are available from Taurus, Ltd, Dept PF, P.O. Box 8551, Chicago, IL 60626. More Thumbnail Analysis Game Reviews
