This game is also by Taurus and the format is substantially the same (in fact the mapboards are almost identical) except there are even more sheets of charts, the rules book is about 3 times as thick and, in addition to the 2 sheets of uncut yellow counters there are 4 sheets of die-cut, grey ship counters of various rectangular sizes. From the latter I judge that the game is supposed to play somewhat like AH's Jutland - manuever on the board until contact is made, then combat on the floor with the large ship counters. R.O.N. can also, supposely, be played in conjuction with BATTLE OF THE ATLANTIC. It, too, sells for $10.95, and if you're a real naval buff and willing to tackle that monstrous rules book it might be worth it. More Thumbnail Analysis Game Reviews
