2003 Weekend Symposium at Chester by the Association of Friends of the Waterloo Committee Following the success of the Higham Hall weekend last year, the second course organised by the Association will take place from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st September 2003 at Burton Manor College, Neston, Near Chester. A panel of popular military history specialists have been invited to speak on the theme Wellington: The Man and the Legend. This weekend course will deal with Wellington's dominant influence on various aspects of military life, illustrated with his officers and men, allies, intelligence services and the Commissariat, throughout his long military career in India, the Peninsula and at Waterloo.
