As the bicentenary of Trafalgar approaches in 2005, Nelson seems constantly in the news. Discoveries of unpublished letters, and other fascinating material among his papers are challenging the traditional stories about his battles and relationships. Saturday 29th March sees the lecture Rediscovering Nelson: New Research, New In-sights, New Narratives being presented by Colin White (Director of Trafalgar 200) at the Royal Naval Museum, Portsmouth, from 2.00pm to 3.30pm. Admission is free, and further details may be obtained from Trevor Carpenter, Tel: 023 9272 7583, Email: trevor.carpenter@royalnavalmuseum.org or visit their website at www.royalnavalmuseum.org More Napoleonic Newsdesk
