From 8th until the 10th of June 1995, a performance of a play will take place at the City Theatre of Luxembourg, depicting the events of the siege of 1794-95. The performance will be in French, German and Luxembourgish. The author of this new play is the writer Iain Atten, who is also archivist of the Luxembourg State Archive. The play will be combined with an exhibition of documents, coins, military items - and uniform plates. Original documents belonging to the State Archive will be shown, as well as a complete collection of all coins used in Luxembourg at the moment of the siege.

Unpublished, contemporary uniform plates, as well as rare weapons and equipment will be on display. One of the principal items will be a diorama of approximately 3,500 figures depicting the surrender of the garrison to the French. The exhibition will last until the 20th June 1995. Entrance is free. Everybody is welcome to join us in the commemoration of the event.
