Modern Swedish
Sweden
Also an armed neutral, Sweden maintains a large standing army with much locally designed equipment. Sweden is serious about its neutrality and conducts a joint services exercise annually where the whole armed forces will deploy to the field including a sizeable portion of its reserves. Swedish doctrine is based on successive lines of delay and making the invader pay dearly for each yard of ground. All of Sweden is a military camp with national highways designed to be used as fighter jet runways and harden positions available in the most unlikely spots for protection. Swedish troops are professional and competent and very adapt at winter warfare operations. There are two ORBATs – Org63 and Org90 and a modification Org2001 presented here.
