Battle of the lonely cross
Riccardo yesterday organised a nice Midgard game using his Dark Age 15mm armies. Vikings tried to force a pass defended by a numerous Saxon Army. The pass itself was a landmark loved by the Saxons, since the tomb of an ancient nobleman was dug there. The tomb was indicated on the table by a large cross, giving morale bonus to Saxon units close to it.
The game went very nicely, with lucky rolls from the Saxon player (me) managing to keep under control the fierce berserkers.
We all enjoyed the nice scenario prepared by Riccardo, so many thanks to him, Vittorio and Matteo for the nice evening. Photos below.
The games ended up pretty even, with the army commanders duelling. They both survived the duel. Good!
