Creole Forces

San Martin (3,300 men, 5 Cav Sqdns, 9 guns)
O’Higgin’s Division (1,300 w/ 2 guns) = Advanced with the Left Column Bn #7, Bn #8 (minus elite Companies), Horse Grenadier Sqdns #1, #2 and #3
Soler Division (2,000 w/ 7 guns) = Advanced with the Right Column Andean Cazadores, Bn #11, Converged Bn of Grenadiers and Cazadores from Bn7 and 8. Fourth Horse Grenadier Sqdn and Escort Sqdn.

Royalist Forces

Maroto (1,400 men, 2 1/2 Sqdns, 2 x 4pdr guns)
Division = Deployed on the Right flank of the right road Talavera Bn, Chiloe Bn, plus advance guard of 25 Hussars & 2 militia companies Division = Deployed on the Left road. Valdivia Bn, Two Abascal Carabiniers Sqdn.
